Smiles Groups

STOP 2 THINK (stop2think.org) is keen to encourage Christians and their Churches to establish SMILES GROUPS to meet regularly to actively foster SMILES in their localities in the following ways:

• wearing stop2think.org apparel (optional but useful promotion - see printed apparel)...

• engaging in smart and subtle street evangelism (see printed cards)

• engaging in community clean-ups (binning litter/ rubbish/ trash that is discarded across their communities)...

• using social media to share photos of their group activities...

• any other activity likely to prompt SMILES from people within your community....

Churches are welcome to use the this template as a guide for creating their local SMILES GROUP. As well as displaying posters, Churches can always create a facebook group to promote their SMILES GROUP.

Why do Christians struggle so much spreading Christianity?

The STOP 2 THINK ministry believes that one reason Christians struggle so much spreading Christianity is that many Christians struggle to comprehend and communicate the purpose of Christianity in language that others can easily understand. Most Christians hopefully agree that the purpose of Christianity is to reconcile us with God but that begs the question what do we need to do to be reconciled with God (and also assumes people have some sort of concept of God). The STOP 2 THINK ministry believes we are reconciled with God by following the ways of Jesus who challenges us to love more and sin less (the ministry believes this is language that others are more likely to comprehend).
